The upstream of the glass is mainly stainless steel materials, glass, ceramics and other materials, while the downstream is offline channels such as major specialty stores, shopping malls, supermarkets and convenience stores, as well as online sales of large e-commerce platforms such as tmall, Taobao and jd.com.
According to the enterprise survey data, the number of registrations in 2019 was the highest over the years, reaching 988, with a year-on-year increase of 19%. In 2020, the number of registrations decreased slightly, with 535 new ones, a year-on-year decrease of 46%. A total of 137 glass related enterprises were added in the first three quarters of 2021, a year-on-year decrease of 68%.
In terms of regional distribution, Zhejiang Province has the largest number, with 1803 related enterprises, leading other provinces in the country. Guangdong Province and Shandong Province ranked second and third with 556 and 514 respectively.
From the perspective of urban distribution, the enterprise survey chart shows that Jinhua has the largest number of glass related enterprises in cities across the country, with 1542, accounting for 86% of the total in Zhejiang Province. Shenzhen and Zibo ranked second and third with 374 and 122.
At present, there are many kinds of ordinary water glasses on the market, and the prices are uneven. The consumption level of fundamentally different areas has a large gap in the price of water glasses. For areas with low glass consumption level, the products produced in this region or domestic production are mainly used; For high-end consumers, it is the introduction of foreign well-made and well-known old brands.
