1. Brief introduction of grinding process:

For example, frosted glass makes it opaque, and sanded leather makes it less shiny than normal leather. Chemical frosting treatment is the glass with emery, silica sand, pomegranate powder and other abrasive for mechanical grinding or manual grinding, made of uniform rough surface, can also be processed with hydrofluoric acid solution on the surface of glass and other objects, the product becomes frosted glass.

Two, grinding process classification:

Common frosted glass and sand blasting are two kinds of frosted glass technology is to carry on the hazy treatment of the glass surface, so that the light through the lampshade to form a more uniform scattering.

The grinding process is more difficult. Frosting refers to dipping glass into a prepared acidic liquid (or applying an acidic paste) and using strong acid to erode the glass surface. At the same time, ammonia fluoride in the strong acid solution makes the glass surface form crystals.

Sanding process is a technical work, very careful sanding master’s craft. If done well, the frosted glass will have an unusually smooth surface and a hazy effect caused by scattering of crystals. But if it is not done well, the surface will appear rough, which indicates that acid erosion on the glass is serious; Even some parts are still not crystallized (commonly known as not ground to sand, or the glass has spots), which also belongs to the master’s poor control of the process.

2. Sand blasting process

Sand blasting process is very common and difficult. It is to hit the glass surface with the sand shot at high speed by the spray gun, so that the glass forms a fine concave and convex surface, so as to achieve the effect of scattering light, so that the light through the formation of a hazy sense. The glass products of sandblasting process feel rough on the surface. Because the glass surface is damaged, it looks like white glass is exposed to the original bright material.

Three, the steps of the grinding process:

The process of chemical production of frosted glass is as follows:

(1) cleaning and drying: first of all, clean the flat glass to produce frosted glass with water, remove dust and stains, and then dry it;

(2) Hoisting: Load the cleaned and dried flat glass into the hoisting frame. The part of the hoisting frame in contact with the glass is cushioned with a toothed rubber bracket, and the glass is vertically discharged. A certain distance between the glass and the glass is lifted by a crane;

(3) Corrosion: use the crane to dip the flat glass together with the hoisting frame into the corrosion box, and use the conventional corrosion solution to soak the glass, and the corrosion time is 5-10 minutes. After being lifted by the crane, the residual liquid will be eluted;

(4) Softening: after the residual liquid is eluted, a layer of residue is attached to the frosted glass, which is softened in the softening box. The conventional softening liquid is used to soak the glass, and the softening time is 1-2 minutes to remove the residue;

(5) Cleaning: Because the corrosion and softening make the frosted glass body with a lot of chemical substances, so it must be cleaned, put the frosted glass into the washing machine on the slide, the slide drive the frosted glass into the cleaning machine, the cleaning machine while spraying water, while turning the brush, when the frosted glass is taken out of the cleaning machine by the cleaning machine slide, the frosted glass cleaning end;

(6) The cleaned frosted glass is put into the drying room to dry, that is, single or double frosted glass.
